Holiday Service of Remembrance

Facing the holidays after a loss can be a difficult journey. What was formerly a joyous occasion may now be marked by grief, sadness, regret, and uncertainty for you as you try to make sense of your losses and adapt to a reality that does not include your loved one.
As the day gets closer and closer instead of bringing warmth and excitement it can bring back emotions that can be hard to deal with, and you can’t wait for the day to be over. No matter where you are in your grief and healing process, we hope you take comfort remembering those who have gone ahead of us as we enter the coming holiday season together.
Being located within the two communities we wanted to create a gathering for the communities. The Holiday Memorial Tree program was the first idea that came to mind and there was not any doubt that this was the program that we would like to offer.
We want people that attend to be thankful to be at a gathering place where everyone was there for the same reason. Where people could come to one place, with people that are experiencing the same emotions, that everyone understood the same feelings and yes, it is okay to shed some tears.
The Memorial Trees sit in our chapel with thousands of white lights on it. It is covered with crystal snowflakes that have the names of the family member that we gave care to. Family members are welcome to come and pick the ornament following the service or the week after until the first week of January, so they can put it on their tree at home. For those families’ that choose not to pick it up the ornament we have options of mailing the ornament.
The Annual Christmas Service of Remembrance will be held the Second Saturday of December at our Lake Geneva Location at 515 Center Street in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin 53147. The service starts at 11 a.m. and features local clergy and music. After the service there will be a time for fellowship and refreshments.
If you have any questions about our Memorial Program, please feel free to call us at (262) 248-2320. We will be happy to answer any questions you have.
